Exhibitions
Pasquale Monaco, in his paintings, exhibits his best skills. He aims at being understood by the audience using an original style. His Neapolitan influence is shown in his works when he uses very bright colors to make his paintings unique. As a result, Monaco’s works transcend the outward image of his paintings revealing poetic subtleties. I think that Monaco’s goal is to portray the simple and eternal values of life without sophistication. Monaco endeavors to depict the true essence of mankind, mankind’s tragic existence along with his ever- lasting consolation. Monaco can be defined as the painter of ordinary unobserved people. In the background are humble characters, with a rather incisive presence which communicate a sense of tragedy to the characters in the foreground.
