Paska Monaco - An Italian artist of passion

Pasquale Monaco is a Rome based artist who was born in Naples in 1948 and has been active in the Italian Art scene for over 50 years. He attended the School of Fine Arts in Naples during his high school years and later, for a brief period, frequented the Institute of Porcellane di Capodimonte near Naples.

Monaco’s love for art was discovered at a very early age. He was 7 years old when his father would take him to their family-owned fruit stand where the most exotic fruits were being sold to the finest hotels and restaurants in Naples. It was in that location that Pasquale made his first encounter with the world of color. From the prism of colors reflected from the peaches, watermelons, apples, figs, pineapples and so forth, he was mesmerized by the array of vibrant textures of light and shadow.
